Purpose of establishment of the organization
Saemmool Korean School is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Jaemae Korean School Council.
재미한국학교협의회는 미주에 있는 1,000여 주말 한국학교의 연합체이다. 한국어, 한국문화 및 역사 교육의 개발과 육성, 한국에 대해 올바른 인식과 이해를 통한 긍지 함양, 교육정책에 대한 건의와 협조 추구 등 한인 차세대들에게 올바른 정체성과 긍지를 심어주는 종합 한인 교육 기관입니다. 또한 1981년에 창립된 이래 현재 미국 연방 정부에 비영리단체(501(c)(3) EIN #52-1596204)로 등록되어 있습니다. 그리고 미국 전역에서 1,000여 개의 회원 학교들이 함께 2세들의 미래 교육을 위한 사업을 하고 있습니다.
The Association of Korean Schools in America is an association of over 1,000 weekend Korean schools in the Americas. It is a comprehensive Korean educational institution that instills the right identity and pride in the next generation of Koreans by developing and nurturing Korean language, Korean culture and history education, cultivating pride through proper recognition and understanding of Korea, and making suggestions and seeking cooperation for educational policies. Founded in 1981, it is currently registered as a non-profit organization (501(c)(3) EIN #52-1596204) with the United States Federal Government. And more than 1,000 member schools across the United States are working together for the future education of the second generation.
한국 정부와 함께 협의회에서 인정한 정식 교과서를 이용하여 수준높은 한국어 과정의 수업을 진행하고 있습니다. 더불어 한국의 역사와 전통문화 및 최신 미디어를 통해 아이들에게 풍성한 배움의 기회를 제공하고 있습니다.
Our school, together with the Korean government, is conducting high-quality Korean language courses using official textbooks approved by the council. In addition, we provide rich learning opportunities to children through Korean history, traditional culture, and the latest media.
비전 vision
한글은 대한민국의 고유의 언어이자 최고의 과학적인 소통의 도구입니다. 다음세대 아이들에게 가족의 언어이자 자신의 정체성을 나타내는 훌륭한 도구가 되길 희망합니다.
Hangul is Korea's unique language and the best scientific communication tool. We hope it will be a good tool for the next generation of children to express their identity and family language.
수업내용 Class
수업은 아이들의 나이와 수준에 따라서 균형 있게 반을 나누게 되며오전에 이루어지는 수업을 1교시부터 4교시까지 이루어집니다. 보통 한국어 강의가 중심이며 명절과 기념일 같은 특별한 기간에는 좀 더 학생들에게 한국의 문화를 경험 할 수 있도록 기회를 제공합니다.
Classes are divided into well-balanced classes according to the age and level of the children, and classes are held in the morning from class 1 to class 4. Usually, Korean language classes are the focus, and during special periods such as holidays and anniversaries, opportunities are provided to students to experience Korean culture.
